Dr. Peter E. Jones is a dedicated pastor, dynamic community leader, and trusted executive advisor with more than 27 years of experience building God’s kingdom and strengthening families. As the Co-Founder and Lead Pastor of The Journey of Hudson Valley in Harriman, NY, he is passionately committed to connecting people to God, community, and each other. His deep roots in ministry include co-founding Covenant Community Church of Michigan and serving as Senior Pastor at Full Gospel Fellowship in New Jersey. Ordained in 1998 by the Assemblies of God and the Churches of God in Christ, his gifting as a preacher and teacher has made his messages a source of inspiration for many.

Dr. Jones’s life mission is to encourage men and women to maximize their full potential by unleashing their God-given gifts and talents. This calling has led him to serve not only in the church but also in the marketplace, where he has applied biblical principles of leadership for over 30 years. His distinguished corporate career included various executive leadership roles at Mercedes-Benz USA and Daimler Chrysler, where he built high-performing teams and architected organizational cultures on an international scale.

For the past 10 years, he has served as the Founder and President of his leadership development company, Power to Become, LLC. Through this firm, he provides executive coaching and leadership consulting to senior leaders in fortune 500 companies. 

These distinct experiences in ministry, the marketplace, and academia are not separate careers but a unified calling, each providing a unique platform to fulfill his purpose. His hands-on leadership is supported by a strong foundation of academic excellence, including a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership from National University, a Masters of Educational Leadership from Central Michigan University, and a Bachelors of Science from Marist University. He also holds a prestigious Executive Coaching certification from Columbia University, alongside numerous certifications in leading industry psychometrics and culture assessments.

Dr. Jones is faithfully assisted in life and ministry by his wife of 30 years, Pastor Maria Jones. Together they are the proud parents of three adult children: Brianna, Alexis, and Peter Jr.

Maria Iacovino Jones is the Co-Founder and Co-Pastor of The Journey Church. Along with her husband, Pastor Peter, she has the heartbeat and spirit that melds this multicultural, interdenominational gathering to God, community and one another.

Clearly gifted in human relations, Pastor Maria birthed her communication and public relations skills in her pre-ministry work with American Airlines, and within the Monroe Woodbury Central school district.

An artist of note, she studied internationally in Radicofani, a village in southern Tuscany, Italy. Her paintings are signed simply by her maiden name, Iacovino, and they reflect her heritage, as well as her teachings.

Pastor Maria was consecrated to the ministry at Covenant Community Church of Michigan in 1998, where she served as a board member and developed various ministry programs. Her work was extended at Full Gospel Fellowship, New Jersey, and The Journey Church, where she obtained her Ministerial credentials and Ordination in 2008. She also serves on the board of governors of Great Heritage Ministries, a public charity in Michigan.

Pastor Maria has been certified as speaker, trainer, and facilitator through the John Maxwell Leadership Team. She activates her more than 23 years’ experience of inspiring, developing and managing people, be it through large scale, community unifying events or through her business consulting company, ConextEd, LLC, where she provides leadership and development specializing in virtual production.

Pastor Maria’s life mission is to serve. She is passionate about her role to embrace, encourage, support and most importantly, love all people, while leading them to also be ardent about the same in their personal ministry. She is assisted in life and ministry by her husband of 30 years, Pastor Peter Jones. Together they have three adult children, Brianna, Alexis and Peter Jr.
